Treasury Pavilion

The Treasury Pavilion houses a collection of coins showing the evolution of Thai money from the 1st Century AD until the present day. The coins and other objects used as money are beautifully displayed with details in both English and Thai. The earliest part of the exhibition displays money in many forms including shells and leads onwards until the introduction of flat coins. Many of the items are extremely rare. The Treasury Pavilion also has in its collection many of the commemorative coins minted throughout the years and a display of Royal Thai Insignia.
