| Itinerary | 1) From the city we drive eastwards towards the mountainrange in the far distance. In the village of Ban Phabong we stop and we can see families weaving rattan into many different utensils. Of course we make a wai and ask permission before we enter their houses/workshops since this is not a tourist area but a working community. 2) Through the paddy fields we ride further eastwards to the house of the 1000 wooden elephants, where woodcarvers bring these beast out of the wood. 3) On the road back to the city we will stop at the most famous parasol factory in the country. Parasols and T-shirts can be painted on request. |
